Tuesday Chats - Pursuing Your Dreams

Hi guys,

I've decided to start something called 'Tuesday Chats' where most Tuesday I will write up a non beauty or fashion related post based on a different subjects.

One of the most important things in life is to do what you want and to not let anyone stop you from doing that. It can have a really big impact on your life if you do not do so. For example, if you pick the GCSEs or A Levels that your friends pick and not that you particularly like, it can really impact your future. If there was a job you wanted to do but you didn't do the GCSEs or A Levels that are needed in order to get this job, just because your friends were in that class, the future that you hoped to have, might not happen.

Its important to pursue your dreams. If you want to take part in that play, go for it. If you want to apply for that job, go for it. Do what you want, not what your friends or family want, even if that's 'different', It's your life and you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it.

You should respect what others want to do with their lives and they should respect what you want to do with yours. If your friends don't, you should really rethink about calling them friends. It could majorly affect your future and obviously you want your future to be the best it can be. So go for it, pursue your dreams and do what you want to do.

I love you guys,

Yourself

Hi guys,

I thought I would write up a little post for you today.

Many people look in the mirror and don't think well of themselves. They base their lives on the people around them and how they want to be better than them or as popular/attractive/kind as they are.

"The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday." In my opinion, these are words to live by. You shouldn't try and be anyone else, but yourself. If someone you want to be like is telling you otherwise then they are not worth looking up to.
Wanting to be someone else is a sign of a lack of self-confidence, but even that under-confident person is I'm sure a lot better than the person you want to be. Over-confidence is in some ways good, for example, on stage. But being over-confident in yourself, is not something that should be looked up to. Its important to be happy with who you are, but to be happy and respectful for who the people around you are too,

It doesn't matter what you look like, what background you come from, what sex you are or what hobbies you have, what really matters, is what is inside of your heart. You can better yourself as a person if that's what you want, but you can't change who are so you might as well enjoy being you. If somebody judges you for that then they obviously are not happy enough within themselves to let you be happy. But be kind to the unkind people, they are the ones that need it the most.

Do what you want and be who you want to be. Don't let anyone else persuade you otherwise.

5 Drugstore Products I Have Been Loving♥

Hi guys!

I know I made a promise that I will be posting, and I will. But.. recently I have been extremely out of motivation and inspiration to write anything. I think I am now back on track though, which I am pleased to announce, so here are some products that I have been loving. (You will notice the quality of the pictures are so much better as I got a better camera, but they are still not great as I am not an experienced photographer but am trying my best to make this blog the best it can be.)

This foundation is very similar to the Rimmel Match Perfection which you know I love, but with more coverage. I have it in the shade 'True Ivory'. Its a perfect match for my skin and I would recommend this for any skin type, but it works especially well on dry skin.

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you will know I love the Soap & Glory Archery Tint & Pencil. When they brought this one out I jumped right on it and it is safe to say I absolutely love it. This does take a bit more practice but the small pencil nib allows you to create small hair-like strokes, giving a much more natural look. It also has a spoolie/brush on the other end which is very handy as I sometimes spend quite a while looking for my spoolie. I have it in the shade 'Blondeshell'.

I had never tried a blush from Collection so I though I'd give them a whirl. They aren't too pigmented so you don't up looking like a clown but with very pretty naturally blushing cheeks. I got mine in the shade 'bashful' which is a pinky coral, I know it isn't very autumnal but I feel like you could wear this shade pretty much all year round.

I had seen this on quite a few vlogs and blogs so I picked one up. I got the shade 'Quartz Flume' which is a beautiful shimmery bronze. They are extremely pigmented, long-lasting and I think the shade I chose is very autumnal.

5) Rimmel London Lipstick

I love Rimmel lipsticks and was given this for my birthday. I know (and I am saying this again), that is isn't autumnal but I love coral shades and this one is so pretty on the lips. I have the color 'Coral Chic' and it really does go with any make up look, its nude but slightly brighter.

Thankyou so much for reading, I love you guys so much!

Back To School; Makeup Products

Hey guys!
It's getting to the time we all dread, going back to school. In a couple of weeks, the uniform will emerge from my wardrobe and the early mornings will begin. To help you guys out a little bit, I thought I would share with you some school friendly, affordable makeup products. Fortunately, my school doesn't have any rules against makeup but if yours do, you will be able to get away with wearing the majority of these products so don't you worry!
For foundation, there are two that I love, Rimmel Match Perfection and Rimmel Wake Me Up. Rimmel Match Perfection is lighter coverage so I would recommend this if you do have rules against makeup, this will give you just the right amount of coverage without being too full on. Rimmel Wake Me Up is slightly higher coverage, so if you are insecure about your skin and feel you need that coverage without breaking the bank, I would recommend this.

Concealer, I also have another two to share with you. The Collection Lasting Perfection concealer has amazing coverage and covers spots and under eye circles extremely well. Also, the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer is amazing, although not as high coverage, still has a beautiful finish on the skin.
With eyeshadow, I would recommend easy to blend/to apply products. If you want to go down the cream route, the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour eye shadows are amazing, they have incredible lasting power. I would recommend either Pink Gold or Creamy Beige. If you want powder eye shadow either NYC or MUA palettes are incredible and have some gorgeous colours.

If you like eyeliner, which I do, here are some recommendations for you. If you want liquid eye liner then I would recommend either Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner or Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen, they both are very easy to apply and have very good lasting power. If you are more of a kohl girl, I would go for the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Liner. I love to wear kohl pencil in my waterline just to add a little something, and in my upper inner rims if I'm wearing liquid eye liner.

Now for brows. I am a huge brow girl so this step is important to me. If you like powders I would just find any matt eye shadow which is similar to your eye brows in the drugstore, there are many available. I love the Soap & Glory Brow Archery but that is £10, so if you can't stretch that far the Revlon Brow Fantasy is amazing. It has a tinted gel on one end and a pencil on the other.
Blusher & Bronzer, for blusher I would 100%  recommend Sleek blushes, they are amazing and not too pricey as well as having a huge colour range. For bronzer I love the Body Shop Honey Bronzer even though it's on the pricier side, it's amazing for school as it is very light but contours cheek bones beautifully. Sleek also do bronzers so if you can't stretch to that I would go for those.
For lips, I always like my lips to be moisturised so balms are your best friend. I love the Soap & Glory Might Mouth Lip Balm, it's so hydrating and has a gorgeous vanilla scent. But if you're looking for something more on the tinted side, I would either go for Revlon Lip Butters or Maybelline Baby Lips. Both are hydrating with that touch of colour.
I really hope you enjoyed reading this and that it helped you out!
