New Look Knitwear

Hi Guys!

Sorry I haven't posted in ages but I have been really busy with school.

So, recently it has been getting a lot colder, and quite frosty and foggy where I am, and I am quite a cold person so I like to dress quite warm and cosy. I have become quite obsessed with jumpers and can't stop buying them, I have noticed what a great selection that New Look has now, with a good price too! I'll show you a few that I really like and the two I have brought!

This is a jumper that I own, and I love this jumper, it's  £14.99 which I thought was super cheap. It is quite thick and is slightly cropped.

This jumper I also own and was £19.99. It is a gorgeous emerald green colour and is quite baggy.

I absolute adore this! It has a small black and white checked pattern, and fits in perfectly with the Monochrome trend. It is £19.99 also.

I really like this jumper, it is a pink toned knit and has a zip up the back. It is quite different and has a nice style to it, it is £17.99.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and you love the New Look knitwear as much as I do!

You can achieve whatever you put your mind to.

Being Yourself

Today I just wanted to talk to you guys about being yourself. I know from experiencing it myself that there are lots of reasons why people struggle with this. I'm sure you know, it's not essential and lot's of people do like to follow trends and do the same as others, but some don't choose to.

The problems with trends is that lots of people feel pressured into following them, when that's not right. You should be able to have your own style and have your own look without feeling like you need to look and do the same as everyone else. If everyone was the same, it would be boring, would it not?

I know it's scary to be different but you should really wear and do things that you love. Never let someone tell you what you should do or what you should look like.

It's important to believe in yourself and know that you are unique because you are you. "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment." That was said by Ralph Waldo Emerson and I think it's amazing and something that we should all listen to, even myself.

I hope this helped you!

Lip Balms - Which Is Best?

Hi guys!

Recently all my posts have been beauty related and I'm sorry about that, the next one I do which is going to be very soon - I'm working on it now, will not be beauty related. So, as it's winter now, the cold does really affect your skin and lips, for me, really badly. I thought I would share with you my top three lip balms.

1) Burt's Bees

I know so many people rave about these but they're right to as they are amazing. They have all the qualities you would want in a lip balm basically, they hydrate your lips, repair them and keep them smooth. They also last quite a long time when on. I really like the beeswax lip balms but they have also brought out some tinted lip balms which are really good too, so I would definetley recommend them. They are around £3-£4

2) Soap & Glory

I discovered recently that Soap & Glory's lip balms are actually really nice. They really hydrate the lips and smell gorgeous. They are called 'A Great Kisser' and my favourite is in the scent 'Juicy Peach'. It smells incredible and also tastes good. These are about £5.00.

3) Maybelline's Baby Lips

These lip balms are raved about by just about everyone. I agree they are very nice but I wouldn't say they were good at repairing the lips. Although they are amazing at keeping the lips hydrated throughout the day whilst adding a bit of colour, if I had sore, cracked lips I would not buy this to fix them. They have brought out some repairing balms as well, 'Intense Care' and 'Hydrate' which are quite good but still don't repair the lips. These are amazing for the money though, They are about £3.
Thank you for reading and I hope this helped you. As I said my next post will be non beauty related and will be coming very soon so watch out!

Never listen to what others say, be who you are.

-What skin type do you have? I have extremely dry skin.

-What is your current facial wash? The L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection facial wash.

-Do you exfoliate? Yes, 3 or 4 times a week.

-What brand do you use? Usually Simple or Garnier for my skincare.

-What moisturizer do you use? Recently I have been using the Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser and have been loving it!

-Do you have freckles? Sometimes I get a few across my nose, but more so in the summer.

-Do you use eye cream? No as I find the skin around my eyes to be very dry and sensitive.

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin? No, not at all.

-Did you ever have to use Proactive? No.

-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months? Yes, I quite often get a new mascara anyways.

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card? No.

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application? The Real Technique brushes.

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes? No.

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner? Liquid eyeliner on my eyelid and pencil eyeliner on my waterline.

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil? Hardly ever.

-What do you think of pigment eye shadows? I think they look absolutely beautiful when worn.

-Do you use mineral makeup? No.

-What is your favorite lipstick? I don't have many lipsticks and I don't think this counts but I really like the Maybelline BabyLips.

-What is your favourite blush to use? I love Sleek blushers, particularly Flushed and Pomegranate.

-Do you buy your makeup on eBay? No, never.

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets) No, never been to one.

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes? No, but it would be fun!

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup? Not really but I sometimes do apply too much blusher.

-Name a makeup crime that you hate? I often get mascara or glittery eye shadow on my face when applying it.

-Do you like colourful shades of makeup (lipstick, eye shadow) or neutral ones? Mostly neutral.

-Which celebrity always has great make up? I always love Jennifer Lawrence's make up.

-If you could leave the house using just ONE makeup item, what would you use? I would probably say concealer as I have just about the worst under eye circles ever and look like a zombie without it.

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on? Yes of course.

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on? I do prefer myself with makeup on as I look a lot more awake but I do have quite clear skin.

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line? This is so hard, I'd have to say Rimmel as they have such an amazing selection for such a low price.

-What do you think of Makeup? I love makeup, I love how it can create a flawless complexion or just make you look that little bit nicer, you can play around with it and create so many amazing looks.
I hope you enjoyed that, having a little look at my aspect of beauty. I will be trying to upload a blog every other day now, but don't shoot me if I miss a day as on Tuesday I am going back to school! 2013 Favourites

Hi guys!

Today I thought I would do a quick post about my favourite beauty products of 2013!

My favourite foundation has to be the Rimmel Match Perfection. I have a very light skin tone and struggle to find foundations that have a colour perfect for me, I have the colour True Ivory and it is just right. This foundation is not high coverage at all so if you're are looking for a foundation with high coverage I would not recommend this one. This costs £6.99.

My favourite concealer is the Collection Lasting Perfection. This concealer has amazing coverage and I actually first got it before everyone starting raving about it. I love this concealer, as I have quite bad under eye circles this being such high coverage really helps and it cancels out the blue and grey tones. I have the colour 2 light and this is around £4.00

My favourite powder is the Rimmel Stay Matte. This is amazing at stopping any shiny spots on your face and locks in your makeup all day long. I have it in the colour transparent as my skin tone is really hard to match up and I find coloured powders to look quite cakey. This was also around £4.00.

My favourite blushers have to be from Sleek. There blushers are so pigmented and stay on all day long. They do so many colours, shimmery and matte, light and dark. I absolutely love these blushers to use all year round and couldn't replace them. These are about £4-£5 and my favourites are Flushed and Pomegranate.

I don't really have a favourite mascara as most of the ones that I have tried out this year I haven't loved. But I know that everybody loves Maybelline The Falsies, including some of my friends, so if you're looking for a good mascara, pick this up, I'm sure I'm going to soon. This is about £8.

My favourite brow pencil is from Soap and Glory and is the Archery Brow Tint and Pencil. This has a felt tip like tint at one end which you fill in any spars places with and a chalk like pencil on the other which you use to shape your brows. I have quite dark brows that I need to fix all the time as they're quite messy and I have found that this does the trick. This is quite expensive, its £10 but it's very good. I have the shade Love Is Blonde.

I don't have a particularly good eye shadow to share with you that I have loved this year. But recently I picked up the Colour Tattoo 24hr by Maybelline and I love it. This is a cream eye shadow and you can use it as a base, or just on its own, either way it looks beautiful and stays on for a long time. I have the shade Pink Gold and absolutely love it, hopefully I will get some more soon. This about £5.

My favourite brand for my body skincare has to be Soap and Glory as I absolutely love all of their products and I am becoming quite obsessed. All of their products smell incredible and do a really good job at softening and hydrating the skin. These are not cheap and can go up to about £20 but are so worth it, trust me.

My favourite lip balm is either Burt's Bees or Maybelline's Baby Lips. I couldn't choose between the two as Burt's Bees is amazing at repairing and softening lips but Baby Lips keeps them hydrated all day long whilst adding a hint of colour. Burt's Bees are around £4 and Baby Lips are around £3.

My favourite makeup remover has to be the L'Oreal Paris 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution. This tones my skin, gets rid of any pores and removes all my makeup. My skin is always left feeling smooth, fresh and clean after applying this. It ranges from £3-£4 which I think is very good.

Finally, my favourite toner, the Garnier Soft Essentials Comforting Toner. I absolutely love this, it is very kind to skin as mine is very sensitive and really does remove any impurities and tones the skin. I would definetley recommend this toner. It is about £3-£4 also.

This is my first beauty blog post, I hope you guys liked it! You can pick up any of the products mentioned in Boots or Superdrug.

The Festive Period

Now that Christmas is over, life goes from one extreme to the other. From everyone rushing around and excitement filling the air, to a life of boredom. We wait ages for this one special day and then it goes by in a flash.

Then you have Boxing Day, where you can go through all of your presents, but still it's not as exciting as opening them. Then you might spend some time with your family, or like me, sit watching hundreds of films whilst stuffing your face with tons of chocolate and sweets.

Then last but not least, new years eve. There isn't an awful lot to do on new years eve, some party and drink enough alcohol to quench the thirst of 100s of people, some just have a small get together with their family or friends and some just sit at home by themselves not making a big deal out of it. Whichever you prefer. The thing is, when Big Ben chimes and the new year begins, everyone starts setting themselves new years resolutions, which just about no one manages to complete. Last year I told myself to stop eating so many Haribo Tangfastics as I may have a slight obsession, well that lasted about 10 minutes. You might take it more seriously and decide to set up your own business, do well in your exams, write a bucket list or just live your dreams. One way or another, it never turns out the way you had hoped. So doesn't that make you wonder, what is the point? Something else people tend to do is set expectations for the year ahead. Each year you expect to be better than all the others, but it never seems to happen.

I hope you liked that quick post on the festive period, this is my first blog and I would really like to get into the habit of writing them maybe twice a week. Please let me know what you would like me to write about and I am a beauty addict so I may do something beauty related and I could include some pictures too, thank you.
