Top 3 Drugstore Mascaras

In the past I have really struggled to find mascaras that work well and are not too expensive, but recently I have found quite a few of which I love so I thought I'd share them with you today. My lashes aren't naturally very curly, so I always use a lash curler before applying my mascara to get the best results.

1. Maybelline Lash Sensational

I heard a lot of people talking about this, so I thought I would see what all the fuss is about and pick one up. I absolutely love this mascara, it is definitely the most dramatic of the three as it really lengthens and adds a lot of volume to my lashes. If you are not into quite big lashes then I wouldn't recommend this, it is really more of a nigh time mascara but I love the definition it gives.

2. Soap & Glory Thick & Fast

I have had this mascara in my collection for a while but never got round to properly trying it out. Even though, from the very big and thick wand it seems like it would give quite a dramatic look, my lashes actually look very natural whilst I am wearing it. It is very much an everyday mascara but adds a lot of length and curl to my lashes.

3. Barry M Show Girl

I love this mascara for no-makeup makeup days, it is a lot lighter looking but still gives your lashes that oomph. The reason I have put this in my favourite mascaras is because it is perfect for your bottom lashes. The brush is a lot smaller than the previous mascaras I mentioned. It doesn't clump or smudge at all, and I feel as if a bottom lash mascara is essential so that the bottom half of your eye doesn't look naked compared to the top, and there isn't a huge difference in your two sets of lashes.

Note: I have recently redesigned my blog after having a big break from blogging. I am quite busy in the next year with school work, but I feel like writing on here is something I want and probably need to do at the moment. Thank you for the support whilst I have been gone, I will try and post as often as possible.

New Years Choices

Hey guys!

New Years for me, is when I feel like I have to make some changes for the better but never seem to stick to them. I do say this every year, but this year I am actually going to try my best to keep them up as I have chosen more realistic resolutions.

1)To be more organised.

I am not an unorganised person, I do like things to be neat. But after tidying I will just forget where everything is and I do not have much storage space. I am going to create more space to store my things and also hopefully start a diary. I am going to plan to write in my diary everyday with to do lists or just how I am feeling. I think this will help me clear my mind and also remind me to get everything done.

2)Have a healthier diet.

I do have a fast metabolism which results in me staying quite skinny no matter what I eat but it does not mean I am healthy. I tend to pick unhealthy foods over healthy even though I enjoy both. I would like to try and eat alot more fruit and drink alot more water instead of carbonated drinks.

3)Start scrapbooking.

I have soo many photos which I would love to record in a creative way. I have many times tried to start a scrapbook but never been consistent with it. This year I am going to try my best to fill a scrapbook with some of my favorite memories from this year and last year as they won't come around again.

4)Gain self confidence.

For many reasons in the last few years my self confidence has plummeted. I am very shy and barely talk to people that I am not extremely close to. I am also uncomfortable in my own skin, and so insecure that it is a challenge for me to even walk out the door without a full face of makeup on. I am going to try my best to be happy with who I am and that will hopefully help me be more confident in conversing with others.

4)Read 20 books.

Last year I was really slaking on reading, I just didn't have the time or couldn't be bothered. Reading also really helps me to sleep and relax.

Have a happy new year!

My Winter Staples❄

Hi guys!!

There are many things that I tend to wear and use alot more frequently during Winter, here are a few that I thought I would share with you!

1) Bobble Hats

I am not one for wearing hats as they don't really suit me, but I don't think I look too bad in bobble hats. They are also just really cute, comfy and can be worn with most outfits. They keep my head and ears super warm and come in many colours!

The one on the left is from F&F at Tesco and the others are from Primark

2) Dark Nail Polish

I think that dark lipsticks are something that most people are afraid to wear, so a dark nail polish is a great alternative. I have this one by Maybelline which is in the range of my favorite nail polishes, it is in the colour Divine Wine. I think if you're wearing a very plain outfit then nail polish can add a touch of colour and in these case a touch of deepness.

3) Tartan Scarves

I am a big lover of the tartan pattern and absolutely love scarves so these combined are a dream. They are also really soft and warm, the ones I own are very big so that if you were travelling could also double up as a blanket.

The left scarf is from Primark, the middle from H&M and the right one was a Christmas present

4) Lip Balms

The cold weather really takes it toll on my skin and lips so lip balms are a staple for me at this time of year. I only like really moisturising ones as my lips get super dry and light weight balms don't really have an affect.

The left is EOS in Lemon Drop, the middle one is Soap & Glory A Great Kisser in Juicy Peach and the right is Balmi in Strawberry

Love you guys!

Top 3 Lush Christmas Products

Hi guys!

I hope you've had an amazing Christmas full with endless amounts of food and happiness. As I have been visiting Lush quite a bit recently, I thought I would show you some of my favorites from their Christmas range.

This has a very floral scent but has an essence of Christmas in it at the same time. You crumble this under running water to create a bath full of bubbles. It is incredibly moisturising as it is made with shea and cocoa butter. The smell and feeling of it is just so relaxing at Christmas time.

This is one of my favourite bath bombs from Lush. It is a beautiful shimmery gold colour, but when popped into the bath turns the water a stunning turquoise blue. It has quite a citrus scent, including orange, lime and cognac oils.

I love the So White bath bomb but I much prefer the shower gel that goes along with it. The scent of apples within it gives it such a fresh smell. It is also extremely moisturising as it has rice bran oil and benzoin in it.

I love the majority of the Lush Christmas range but these are just a few of my favorites.

Love you guys!

Judgemental Minds

Hi guys!

I know I have been doing quite a lot of advice/serious blog posts recently but this will be the last one for a while. I just wanted to talk about something that absolutely blows me away how often it occurs.

That something is people judging others for who they are, for example; race, religion, gender, sexuality, appearance etc. I honestly just don't understand why you would do that. I spend most my life judging myself and telling myself that everyone around me is judging me. But, I would never I even think to judge someone else for who they are.

I recently watched Connor Franta's coming out video and it inspired me. He was so scared to actually admit to himself who he is but has built up the strength to do it and is proud to be that person and I am so proud of him for conquering that.

There are always rumours that go around schools, communities, work places etc, about what religion someone is, what sexuality they are and so on but really why does it matter? It is going to make no difference to you or affect your life whatsoever and even if the rumours are true you should not treat that person differently.

Especially at my age, 15, I feel like people are pressurised into doing things they aren't ready for or deciding who they are which they most likely are still not ready for. I wish we lived in a world where everyone accepted everyone for who they were and treated them equally. Not a world where the word 'gay' is used as an insult. It discusts me.

So please if you can't quite decide what the feelings you're having mean or who you are, then never feel rushed into making that decision. And, if you have a friend who you know is feeling that way, please support them so that they feel more happy to open up to you if needed.

I love you guys!!

Tuesday Chats - Do What Makes You Happy

I

Hi guys!

The quote 'Surround yourself with those who make you happy.' is one of my favorites. You may not think it matters if somebody 'makes you happy' but wouldn't you like to be happy within yourself? Yes, your smiling but that doesn't mean your necessarily happy. I used smiling as a shield to what I am truly feeling.

You need to be with people who can change you from feeling below sad to beyond happy when you don't think its possible. Someone who will be there for you night and day, understand you, support you and listen to you. Soon enough, that smile won't be fake anymore.

I know life is about taking risks, but if you're risking your happiness it isn't worth it. If someone isn't making you happy or is actually upsetting you then you need to cut that person out of your life. Its best if you aren't close anymore as you should be focusing on if you're happy or not. Sometimes this decision is hard to make, but you get through it.

You obviously make your own decisions but i'm just advising you. Listen to your heart and be brave.

Love you,
